Medical and Healthcare

When you move into an Evermore care home, it’s important that the transition is as smooth as possible. Our team is experienced in residential care, and our robust processes ensure all your medical and healthcare needs are understood and met. Whether those needs are visual, audiological, mobility or anything else, we’ll work closely with your existing medical team and medical professionals from the local community. Find out more about how this happens for you here:

Medicines

Many residents arrive at our homes with existing prescriptions and will need these to continue without interruption. When you move into an Evermore care home, we will ensure that your current GP has your change of address or that you’re registered with a local GP if you’re not already. From the day you move in, our team will make certain that you receive all correct medications as and when you need them.

Health Checks

Your health and wellbeing is our number one priority, and our team takes a proactive approach when it comes to health checks. As well as daily visits from district nurses, you can expect to see the community matron on a weekly basis and have monthly reviews in the home. During these regular checks we encourage you to discuss any concerns you have regarding your physical or mental health.

Dental Care

Regular dental appointments and treatment are often required as people age. Whether you simply need a check-up, new dentures or something more serious you can be assured that our team will be on hand to arrange a visit at the home or we can take you out for an appointment.

Eye Care

Problems with your vision should not cause barriers to you leading an active and fulfilling life at an Evermore care home and we take great care to design and build our homes to ensure that it does not.

For more information on how we design the home with you in mind head, check out our 21st Century Care section here [LINK]. Alongside this, ensuring your eyes are well looked after is imperative, so we arrange regular visits from local opticians and can organise any further treatment as and when required.
