We invest in training and development at every stage of your career – giving you the skills, confidence and opportunities to grow.

Induction

When you join us, you’ll complete a structured induction that helps you settle in and feel part of the team. If you’re new to care, we’ll support you to achieve the Care Certificate, making sure you have a strong foundation to build on.

Ongoing Training

Learning doesn’t stop after induction. Our colleagues take part in regular training that covers:

  • Dementia care

  • Safeguarding

  • Positive behaviour support

  • Health and safety

  • Specialist care skills

We also refresh knowledge regularly so that everyone feels confident and up to date.

Qualifications and Career Progression

Many colleagues choose to go further by completing additional qualifications and other accredited training. We encourage and support you to take these steps, whether you are aiming to specialise or move into leadership.

Plenty of our team started as support workers and have grown into senior roles – team leaders, activity coordinators, deputy managers and registered managers. Their journeys show what is possible with the right support.

Recognition for Development

Our commitment to training and career growth has been recognised through awards for Workforce Development. But what matters most is the impact it has on our colleagues – helping people feel proud, capable and ready for the next step in their career.

Everything You Need to Know

Not always. Some of our colleagues joined us with no formal care experience, while others came with years in the sector. What matters most is your values – compassion, respect and a willingness to learn. We provide full induction and training to help you feel confident in your role.

From day one you will take part in a structured induction, including the Care Certificate if you don’t already have it. We also provide ongoing training in areas such as dementia care, safeguarding, positive behaviour support and leadership. Many colleagues go on to complete nationally recognised qualifications.

We offer a mix of full-time, part-time, days and nights  so we can find a role that works for you and the home.

Our benefits package includes the Medicash health plan, Blue Light Card membership, free meals on shift, free parking, enhanced leave, pension contributions, and access to an Employee Assistance Programme. We also celebrate and reward colleagues through our Step-Up Stand Awards and national recognition schemes.

We are proud to be a values-led organisation where colleagues are supported and celebrated. Our homes are recognised as some of the best in the North West, and our staff have been shortlisted for national awards in areas from workforce development to frontline leadership. At Evermore Care Homes, you will feel part of a team that is making a genuine difference.
