Residents and team members at Astley View Care Home in Chorley embraced Halloween in style this week, enjoying a party with plenty of costumes, dancing and frightful fun.
The home was transformed with pumpkins, cobwebs and Halloween decorations, setting the perfect scene for a day of themed activities and celebration. Staff dressed up in scary costumes, bringing smiles and laughter as residents enjoyed spooky food, games and crafts.
One of the highlights of the day was the Halloween dance, where residents joined in the fun on the dance floor – a scarily good time made even better by the mix of witches, ghosts and ghouls among the party guests.
Home Manager Christina Durnan said:
“Our residents love a celebration, and Halloween gives us a great excuse to get creative, have a laugh and make some special memories together. It’s wonderful to see everyone enjoying themselves – from the decorations to the dancing, there was a real sense of fun throughout the home.”
The celebration is part of Astley View’s seasonal activity calendar, which brings residents, staff and families together to create moments of connection, creativity and joy.
