Play is fun at any age.

05 February 2026
Play is fun at any age.

Residents have already been getting involved in a range of activities – from creative towers with magnetic tiles to a few LEGO challenges.

Play is fun at any age, and our residents certainly think so. There has been concentration, a bit of friendly competition, and laughter along the way.

What looks simple carries real value. Hands-on activities help maintain coordination and confidence, while shared tasks naturally encourage conversation and connection. For people living with dementia, familiar patterns like sorting, building and repeating actions can feel reassuring and purposeful, allowing people to take part without pressure.

Being meaningfully occupied isn’t about filling time – it supports wellbeing, reduces anxiety and helps people stay part of the life around them.

A lovely way to start the day.
