There is something special about autumn – the fresh air, the golden leaves, and the chance to enjoy the simple pleasures of the season.
At Evermore Care Homes, our residents recently spent a lovely morning making the most of it, heading out for a walk in the crisp autumn sunshine to collect handfuls of colourful leaves.
What started as a gentle stroll soon turned into a burst of creativity. Back inside, the afternoon was spent turning those leaves into beautiful collages and animal designs. The tables were covered in autumn colours, with plenty of chatting, laughter and cups of tea as everyone shared ideas and admired each other’s artwork.
There was even a touch of innovation on display – one resident found a clever way to make the glue dry faster by using a table tennis bat as a fan!
It was a simple, joyful day that brought everyone together – celebrating the season, enjoying good company, and proving that inspiration really can be found in the everyday.
