Astley View Care Home in Chorley is getting ready to welcome the community to its Christmas Market on Saturday 6th December from 1pm – 4pm, with residents already embracing the festive spirit during a wreath-making workshop.
Led by the lifestyle team, the session brought residents together to design and decorate their own Christmas wreaths using fresh winter foliage, ribbons and seasonal decorations. The workshop encouraged creativity, conversation and reminiscence, with many residents sharing fond memories of Christmases past.
Christina Durnan, Manager at Astley View Care Home, said:
“Christmas is always a special time at Astley View, and it is lovely to see residents getting involved and enjoying the run-up to our market. The wreath-making workshop filled the home with colour, conversation and a real sense of togetherness. We are delighted to open our doors to the community on Saturday and invite everyone to join us.”
The upcoming Christmas Market will be open to all and will feature festive stalls, handmade crafts, gifts, seasonal refreshments and children’s activities. Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet the team and discover more about life at Astley View.
