At Astley View Care Home in Chorley, we strive to make a positive difference to our resident, their families and also to our local community and the people around us.
This Christmas, Astley View Care Home has donated food and presents to SVP Chorley Buddies, a local community charity supporting people in Chorley through befriending, shopping support, social activities and food clubs. The food purchased will be shared with members of the local community who may need extra help during the winter months.
The donation was made possible through festive activities held at the care home, which brought together residents, families and members of the Chorley community. While these events gave residents the chance to enjoy the season with loved ones, the team were keen to ensure the impact reached beyond the home itself.

Residents at Astley View Care Home were pleased to support a local organisation that plays such an important role in Chorley. SVP Chorley Buddies works closely with people who may be experiencing isolation or hardship, helping them stay connected, supported and involved in their community.
As a care home in Chorley, Astley View is proud to support both its residents and the wider community. Community connection is an important part of life at the home, and the team regularly works with local groups and charities to create meaningful links beyond the home’s walls.
