Afternoon Tea Week began at Astley View Care Home in Chorley with a tea-tasting activity, led by our in-house team of resident tea connoisseurs.
Residents and colleagues sampled a selection of unusual teas from around the world, sharing their thoughts and scoring each one for flavour. A scoring sheet was, of course, essential.
After all the teas had been tried and the scores counted, Pumpkin Spice was named the clear winner.
Our activities are planned around the interests of the people who live with us. They provide opportunities to try something new, share interests with others and, most importantly, have fun.
The tea tasting was a lovely way to start our Afternoon Tea Week celebrations, although the traditional cup of tea now has some strong competition.
