Residents at Astley View Care Home in Chorley took some time to relax during a recent pamper session at the home.
The session included facials, nail care and gentle head massages, with each resident choosing the treatments they wanted to enjoy. Some joined in with several treatments, while others preferred to sit, chat and enjoy the calm atmosphere.
As well as providing time to unwind, the session gave residents the chance to socialise and enjoy positive sensory experiences. Personal care activities can also help people feel good about themselves, supporting dignity, confidence and self-esteem.
Activities at Astley View are planned around residents’ interests and preferences, with individual choice at the heart of each session.
