Residents at Astley View Care Home in Chorley recently welcomed singer Louis for an afternoon of live entertainment.
It wasn’t long before residents were singing along, dancing together and enjoying the music.
Live music has become a regular part of life at Astley View. Every performance is different, but familiar songs often spark conversations, bring back memories and encourage residents to join in. It is always a pleasure to see people enjoying the music in whatever way feels right for them.
For many residents, music is something that has been part of their lives for decades. Hearing a favourite song can remind someone of a celebration, a holiday, a family occasion or simply a piece of music they have always loved.
Astley View Care Home provides residential, dementia, respite and short-term care in Chorley, with activities that reflect the interests, hobbies and life experiences of the people who live here.
