Astley View Care Home, a residential care, dementia care, respite care and end-of-life care home in Chorley, is inviting local people to visit during Care Home Open Week from 15–21 June.

If you have ever wondered what life in a local, vibrant care home is really like, Care Home Open Week is the perfect opportunity to find out. Throughout the week, visitors are welcome to take a tour of the home, meet the team, enjoy a range of activities and events, or simply join us for a cup of tea and a chat.

Care Home Open Week provides an opportunity to strengthen connections with our local community, showcase modern care home life and celebrate the dedicated teams who support older people to live fulfilling lives every day.

Care Home Open Week Programme

Monday 15 June – Mandy Motivator Fitness Session

Join us for a fun and energetic fitness session featuring music and dance inspired by artists from around the world.

Tuesday 16 June – Kick it with Kyra Football Activity

Residents and visitors are invited to get involved in a football-themed activity led by Kyra.

Wednesday 17 June – 1966 World Cup Final Screening

A trip down memory lane in our cinema as we screen England’s historic World Cup victory.

Thursday 18 June – Rise Exercise Activity and Football Tournament

A day of movement, teamwork and friendly competition.

Friday 19 June – Picnic Party and Garden Social

Join us for a picnic party followed by a garden social featuring World Cup flashcards and reminiscence activities.

Saturday 20 June – Live Entertainment with Just Joe

Enjoy an afternoon of music and entertainment with popular singer Just Joe.

Sunday 21 June – Father’s Day Western Celebration

Join us for a Western-themed afternoon featuring mini golf, boules and plenty of opportunities for fun and friendly competition.
