Ashton Manor Care Home in Lancaster is inviting families and friends to join residents for a special Doughnut Galore charity afternoon on Friday 22nd May.
The event is being held as part of National Doughnut Week, a nationwide fundraising initiative that supports The Children’s Trust, the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injury and neurodisability.
Visitors will be able to enjoy fresh doughnuts, tea, coffee and refreshments while spending time with residents and meeting the team at Ashton Manor Care home. The afternoon aims to bring people together, raise money for charity and provide an opportunity for visitors to experience the welcoming environment of the Lancaster care home.
At Ashton Manor Care Home, activities and events play an important role in supporting wellbeing, maintaining connections with family and friends, and creating meaningful opportunities for residents to spend time with their local community. The Doughnut Galore afternoon is one of many events held throughout the year to encourage social interaction and celebrate special occasions together.
Joanne Tyson, Home Manager at Ashton Manor Care Home, said:
