Astley View Care Home residents enjoy meaningful community trip to Birkacre Garden Centre

Residents at Astley View Care Home in Chorley recently enjoyed a day out at Birkacre Garden Centre, spending time exploring the seasonal flowers and plants, enjoying lunch together and taking part in meaningful activity within the local community.

The visit gave residents the opportunity to look around the colourful displays, talk about gardens they had cared for over the years and share memories connected to flowers, gardening and family life. After exploring the garden centre, the group enjoyed lunch together before a little shopping.

At Astley View Care Home, meaningful activities are an important part of everyday life. Regular outings and community visits help residents stay connected to local places, continue lifelong interests and enjoy social experiences that support wellbeing, confidence and conversation.

The care home regularly organises activities and trips designed around residents’ interests, helping people continue doing the things that matter to them while remaining part of the wider Chorley community.

Astley View provides residential, dementia and respite care in Chorley, with a focus on person-centred care, meaningful lifestyles and creating a warm, supportive environment for residents and families.

The team would like to thank everyone involved in supporting another enjoyable day out for residents.
