Live Harp Music Visit Delights Residents at Astley View

Astley View Care Home in Chorley recently welcomed a harpist to the home, giving residents the opportunity to enjoy an afternoon of live music.

The visit was part of Astley View’s regular programme of activities, shaped by ongoing conversations with residents about what they enjoy. As the harpist played, residents spent time listening to the music, chatting together and enjoying the moment, with plenty of strings and smiles around the room.

Care Home Manager Christina Durnan said: “We speak with our residents regularly about the things they enjoy and what they would like to see more of. Music is something many people connect with, and it was lovely to see residents enjoying the harpist’s visit together.”

Astley View offers a wide range of activities, giving residents choice and variety in how they spend their time. Whether it’s music, social activities or quieter moments, the focus is on supporting people to continue enjoying the things that matter to them.

The harpist’s visit was enjoyed by residents and staff alike and added something a little different to everyday life at the home.

Astley View Care Home continues to place importance on listening to residents and supporting them to enjoy the things they love as part of daily life.
