Location: Chorley, Lancashire
Service: Astley View Care Home
Salary: £12.00 per hour
Annual Salary: £21,840 per year
Contract Type: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Hours: 7am – 6pm shifts on a two-week rolling rota:

• Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
• Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

About the Role:
Evermore Care is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Astley View, a luxury care home in Chorley, Lancashire. You will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, nutritious meals in line with the Head Chef’s menus, maintaining a safe and hygienic working environment, and bringing creativity and flair to every dish.

Experience:

• Proven ability to cook exciting recipes
• Experience working in a fast-paced, fresh food environment
• Exceptional communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff, suppliers, and residents

Main Responsibilities:

• Support the Head Chef in development and improvement plans to maintain outstanding standards.
• Conduct regular audits within the kitchen to ensure quality and compliance.
• Participate actively in meal preparation and various kitchen activities.
