Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant
Location: Ashton Manor Care Home, Lancaster
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 30 hours per week, working every other weekend
Salary: £12 per hour (£18,720 per year)

About the Role:
Evermore Care is seeking a Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant to join the team at Ashton Manor, our new luxury care home in Lancaster. The role involves maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents and staff, prioritising hygiene and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be practical, responsive, and committed to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.

About Ashton Manor:
Ashton Manor is a 67-bedded facility offering premium personal, dementia, and respite care across three floors. The home is equipped with high-quality furnishings, video calling facilities, and stylish decor. Residents enjoy activities, a beauty salon, and a cinema room.

Experience Required:

• Previous experience in a similar environment, such as a care home or hospital.
• Ability to build good relationships with residents and staff.
• Solid understanding of Health and Safety Regulations, COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health), and Infection Control.

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensure all service areas are supplied with necessary housekeeping items and inform the Head Housekeeper of shortages.
• Clean all areas to a high standard, following set cleaning guidelines and schedules to meet service needs.
• Identify and report any damages or issues to the Head Housekeeper and maintenance team.
