Construction work has begun on a new state-of-the-art care home in Chorley, the first new care home to be built in the town for over 10 years.
Astley View will open its doors to residents in early 2023 and is set to provide the highest quality residential, nursing and dementia care, as well as create 130 new career opportunities locally.
Spanning three floors, the luxury facility will bring a unique care experience to Chorley, providing a beautiful, modern and safe home conveniently located on Euxton Lane, close to the M6 and M61 motorways and Chorley town centre.
Residents at Astley View will be able to enjoy spacious bedrooms featuring en-suite wet rooms with luxurious assisted-bathing facilities, light and airy open lounges and dining areas, with upper-floor terraces providing easy access to enjoy outside space, all ensuring they will be truly at home.
With a strong focus on wellbeing and lifestyle, residents and their loved ones will be able to experience a ‘market street’ within the home, with shops, a cinema, beauty salon, café and ice cream parlour all providing residents and their families with the opportunity to create new happy memories together. Special design features will bring the outside in, with a galleried café opening onto a corridor of trees through to landscaped gardens.
The home will also boast the latest assistive technology, infection control laundry and high-specification assisted bathrooms, as well as Wi-Fi throughout, and TVs with internet access and video calling to help residents to stay in contact with loved ones remotely.
